Gone are the days when you child was content to sleep for long periods of time. Now, your child is a walking, taking toddler, and while you delight in your child's development, you are also finding taking care of her a bit daunting. However, there is plenty of parenting advice for parents who need activities to keep their inquisitive toddlers busy.

Parenting Advice For Parents Who Love To Take Their Children to Parks

The park is a great place to take children, since there are many hands-on things to do there. Parents can often indulge in the parks themselves, by using the swings and sliding down the slides with their children. However, going to the same park all the time can get boring for a toddler, so you will need to think of new activities at the park to keep their interest.

For example, if there is sand at the park, some parenting advice is to bring a sand pail and shovel, and to make sand castles. However, if water is not readily available at the park (which it should be in the form of a bubbler or water fountain) be sure to bring a bottle of water to mix in with the sand for the sand castles.

Parenting Advice for Parents Who Love To Take Their Children To The Beach

The summer is a wonderful time to spend at the beach, but once again, toddlers can get cranky and will still need nap time. However, you can make the most of your day at the beach by bringing a beach umbrella and a pillow for the toddler. When the toddler gets tired, place the pillow on a large blanket and make sure the umbrella provides ample shade.

Parenting Advice For Rainy Day Activities

Good weather provides many outdoor activities for you and your toddler to partake in, but when it gets rainy, you will have to move the fun to indoors. Many parents think that watching a movie is good entertainment for their toddler. It can be, but make sure that the movie is an educational one for the toddler age group.

Another thing that you can do is arts and crafts activities. A popular thing to do with toddlers is to color. This is also an important organizational skill for toddlers to learn. Celebrate a job well done by hanging up the colored pictures on the refrigerator. As you can see, there are many things to do to keep your toddler busy, and you can have just as much fun planning new creative activities!
