Yes, it’s been a long day, and you just want your life back. You simply can’t go straight to the bar anymore with your buds, you have commitments and responsibilities now and you have to go home to “them”.

Yes, your life is not your own anymore, you don’t have a life anymore. Your life is theirs, and theirs is sometimes conveniently not yours.

This cant go on you shout, go play, go get a job or something! And the baby just lies there in the pram cooing back at you, bubbles and all in the mouth.  Yes dad, I understand and still love you. You just had to look, and you got soft all over again.

Single Parenting - The Truth Is Never Sweet

Even though you think all his hell, there are advantages to the disadvantages of single parenting too, however ironic that sounds. When you have a blind date and she is seriously not your type you could use the disadvantages of single parenting to your advantage, she will normally run, depending on the amount of kids you might have, you could even just hypothetically add some more, or say they have all multiple personalities and ADD.

And so you get off one night in a month, just by chance, and you land up sitting at the pub with all your other single parent buds moaning and groaning about the disadvantages of single parenting between yourselves once again, you see, that is all that is in your life in your opinion, you still haven’t seen any light yet.

There is no easy way out of this situation, unless you find a woman who is willing to share all those burdens with you, even if it is just for a short while until she finds the disadvantages of having too many children around that she never intended to have in the first place. Her life too has now vaporized into thin air.

For most parents the disadvantages of single parenting would lay more in the financial sector, having to pay for everything and more. They just keep on wanting and needing. It seems it would never end, and sorry, it doesn’t, not even when they are all grown up and left the house, they still need, need, need.
