Why Fertility Rates Are Important

Fertility rates gives researchers a glimpse into the future of society and its population ...
Fertility rates can be quite useful to a society. It gives researchers a glimpse into the future of society and its population. As a result, it can give the government further insight into the things that need to be done currently to prepare for future circumstances. Researchers can also narrow down their findings to include age fertility to see patterns evolve about the average age when women have children. With these useful results, fertility rates provide a great service to researchers and society.
To determine fertility rates, a number of variables are factored into the calculation. A fertility rate typically uses the statistics of any given year in order to calculate the data they need. Next, researchers choose to count the percentage of women in the population at any given age that produced offspring during that year. Once that number is calculated, researchers then total the percentages for all ages and divide that number by 100. This gives them the figure they need that they call the 'fertility rate."
Fertility rates are calculated to help a region's government and officials predict the number of people that will inhabit the area in the near future. This is important so the officials can calculate the amount of food and resources that will be required at any given time. Fertility rates are also important because researchers can calculate the growth rate of certain age groups and even genders. This helps to determine the number of people that will be available to participate in the workforce and create products for the growing population.
Women are responsible for the fertility rate inasmuch as men are left out of the equation when calculating the statistics. If a woman has more than two children, she is contributing to a higher fertility rate for her area. If she has one child or none, she is helping to contribute to a declining fertility rate. Two children for a woman helps to keep the fertility rates constant in any given area because a woman not only has to replace herself, but also her male counterpart. This is typically referred to as the "replacement fertility rate."
Fertility rates can also be calculated to determine trends in age fertility. By using certain demographics in their calculations, researchers can determine the age fertility in different countries to find general patterns among different age groups. Through age fertility statistics, researchers can tell if females are having children at younger ages in a certain period of time or at older ages. Age fertility findings can help governments create age-specific programs to help educate those groups about child raising.
Researchers use fertility rates as a means to help a society predict the resources they will need in the future. With these statistics, programs can be specifically designed to educate and assist families who have children. These findings can also tell researchers a great deal about societal patterns and trends. Although fertility rates may seem trivial and unimportant, they are very informative to what occurs in any given society.

Fertility Facts & Tips
When it comes to ovulation, men are typically unable to tell when a woman is ovulating. Unlike the animal kingdom, males must rely on the female to let him know when ovulation is occurring so they can have intercourse in order to reproduce. Just before ovulation, the female often notices cervical changes, such as an increase in mucous production. The female also has an increase in body temperature which signals the beginning of the ovulation phase. In some cases, a female might even experience a heightened sense of smell as well as a stronger libido just before ovulation.
