For couples who are trying to conceive a baby, an ovulation predictor is an ideal tool. Ovulation predictor kits come in many forms for convenience and to provide couples with the best results for charting fertility and ovulation time periods. Some ovulation predictor devices are as technological as wearing a watch-like device during they day while others are as simple as a software program that you use with your computer.
Your fertility charting is based on different personal information, depending on the type of ovulation predictor or ovulation predictor kit you choose.
The OV Watch is a device that you can take with your wherever you go because it looks just like a normal watch but it has an even more important purpose. This ovulation predictor detects changes in a woman's chloride level by measuring the amount of sweat at any given time. The technology of this ovulation predictor is one of the best on the market because it gives you a five day warning of when you are about to start ovulating whereas other ovulation predictor kits only give a one day notice. This helps to reduce the stress of couple who is trying to conceive which, in turn, increases their chance for pregnancy.
Many doctors and fertility specialists suggest other forms of ovulation predictor kits and methods. The ClearPlan Easy and the OvuQuick ovulation predictor kits are cost effective and the most popular among many couples and clinics. These ovulation predictor kits are typically based on detecting a woman's luteinizing hormone (LH) level through their urine. When the LH level is at a high, you have an increased chance for ovulation and, as a result, an increased chance of pregnancy. This will help a couple when they are charting fertility schedules and trying to find the most productive times for intercourse.
Another method to use as an ovulation predictor is fertility charting. Charting fertility is the least common method of determining ovulation because it involves the most amount of guesswork and planning. Since no ovulation predictor kits are used in this method, the woman must keep a record of her basic basal temperature (BBT) as well as her cervical mucous. After a few months of this, she can determine a personal body pattern and, as a result, determine her optimum times for conception. Even though it is a cost-effective method, many couples choose to utilize one of the many ovulation predictor kits available because of their accuracy and ease of use.
Depending on your specific needs and pregnancy goals, you can find an ovulation predictor that is right for you. Some methods that you can do yourself are inexpensive, but they often require more work and personal data interpretation. Other methods, like the OV-Watch, are relatively expensive but they require little or no guessing on your part. Look at the various types that are available in the ovulation predictor products before deciding which one is the best method to help you reach your pregnancy goals.

Fertility Facts & Tips
When it comes to ovulation, men are typically unable to tell when a woman is ovulating. Unlike the animal kingdom, males must rely on the female to let him know when ovulation is occurring so they can have intercourse in order to reproduce. Just before ovulation, the female often notices cervical changes, such as an increase in mucous production. The female also has an increase in body temperature which signals the beginning of the ovulation phase. In some cases, a female might even experience a heightened sense of smell as well as a stronger libido just before ovulation.
