If you and your partner are trying to conceive without success, then it may be time to consider an infertility treatment. While some of the advanced procedures can be costly and invasive, these methods are only used after a couple has tried everything in their power to have a child. There are a number of things you can do that you may not be aware of to increase your chances; here are some suggestions that may help.
While it may be a medical myth that some foods can enhance sexual performance, it is no secret that a great diet will give you stamina and energy. The right balance of vitamins and nutrients in the body will enable all of your body's systems to function properly, and this includes your reproductive system. So, before you try a more expensive infertility treatment, place yourself on a balanced, healthy diet; eat three meals a day, with healthy snacks in between, and be sure to drink plenty of water during the day. Be sure to eat lots of raw fruits and vegetables throughout the day, as well as foods that are rich in protein, such as nuts and lean meats. You'll begin to feel a difference in just a week, and you may find that your problems will be solved. Even if you don't see results as soon as you would like, it is still a good idea to stick to the diet, as the medical treatments you may pursue will be much more effective.
Exercise can also serve as an effective infertility treatment. The more active you are, the sounder you sleep, and the more rest you get, the more energy you have. Exercise also enhances your mood by releasing endorphins, which means you will automatically experience more feelings of love and closeness toward your partner, which couldn't hurt. Try working out as a couple, so that the two of you can reap the benefits of exercise together. If you are currently visit the doctor to find out about treatments, then be sure to share your exercise schedule so that you can get tips on which areas of the body to focus on while working out.
There are certain lifestyle changes that you'll have to adopt as well; it has been proven that smoking and caffeine can lower a man's sperm count, which is a common reason that couples are unable to conceive. Be sure to eliminate coffee, colas, and teas from your diet while you're trying to have a baby, and quit smoking as soon as you can. Alcohol will also decrease your chances of pregnancy, and men and women should abstain during the conception process, and especially during the pregnancy.
