One of the most popular fertility drugs for women are gonadotrophins. This is an injection that is placed in the ovaries, which helps to produce eggs. Once there are enough eggs in the ovaries, the chances for fertilization increases, and this is adequate assistance for women in many cases.

Clomiphene is also given to women who are trying to become mothers; this medication is taken in pill form, and stimulates the brain to 'tell' the ovaries to produce more eggs each month. These are the two most common treatments, and they are safe and effective for most women.

Gingko biloba has been known to product the same effect. It is important for both men and women to consult their doctors before continuing to take supplements daily while using fertility drugs, since this could take a toll on the body, and make the conception process longer.

Clomiphene and gonadotrophins are also used to treat men that are experiencing fertility issues. These two treatment methods are combined with chorionic gonadotrophins in order to increase the sperm count in men, and the medication can be taken in injections or in pill form.
