James Robinson Clitheroe was enormously popular with the public as Jimmy in The Clitheroe Kid. At the height of his popularity, the diminutive Lancastrian comic had regular audiences of over 10 million people and was a radio institution from 1958-1972.

This title contains four half-hour radio shows from the BBC old time radio series "The Clitheroe Kid". These are the four episodes: Clitheroe and the Hound Dog, The Evils of Tomato Juice, Beware of the Neighbour, and A Load of Chinese Junk. Starring English variety comedian Jimmy Clitheroe, with Peter Sinclair, Patricia Burke, Danny Ross and Diana Day.
