Tips On How To Prevent Bullying Within The Family
In this article we look at the common
issue of bullying in the family and ways to prevent it ...
Whether we like it or not, there are always bullies in the family. Although this person loves
you, he or she has the tendency to make you feel harassed and insecure every time you see one other.
However, you do not have to live with this kind of attitude from a family member. You have to learn how to prevent
bullying within the family and put a stop to your misery.
Always remember that there is a limit to everything. Even if you love a person so much, you must
let that person know that you do not like what he or she is doing to you and you are not willing to take an
attitude from him or her anymore.
Standing up to the family bully is not really easy. In fact, standing up to the family bully could be one of the
most difficult things that you even have to do in your life. Just think about it. The family bully could be your
own mother, your father or your brother or sister. Since you do not want to lose these people, it is not always
easy to find ways on how to prevent bullying around the home.
Right Time, Right Place
If you are really keen on learning how to prevent bullying inside the home, you should start by researching this
matter thoroughly. There are many books and reading materials on how to prevent bullying in the family. Once you
have learned enough about how to prevent bullying in the family, you should put what you have learned into action.
The best way to go about this task is to wait for the most opportune time to discuss your feelings with this
person. Wait until the two of you are alone and relaxed. People are always more receptive to discussions when they
are relaxed.
Accentuate the Positive First
When talking about your feelings, you should start with the positive things. You can tell this person how much you
care for him or her and then gradually lead the discussion to the times when you feel that you have not been
treated fairly. Tell this person exactly how you feel and why you do not want to go through this kind of experience
in the near future.
If this person really loves you, he or she will understand how you feel and will try hard not to bully you again
the near future. It is possible to learn how to prevent bullying if you have a candid conversation; it might just
turn out that the perceived bullying was purely unintentional.
